Sabrina Yang is a Brisbane based Educational and Developmental Psychologist who has worked with infants, children, their parents, and adults in both the public and private sector for more than 10 years. Sabrina enjoys working within an attachment and relational framework to optimise the relationships for individuals crossed the lifespan.

Sabrina is passionate about supporting individuals through the challenges of life, area of interests for Sabrina including depression, anxiety, work-related stresses, adjustment to health diagnosis (cancer), perinatal period, parental adjustment, and parenting transitioning through stages of a child’s development.

​

Sabrina is also passionate about supporting children and adults with difficulties in emotional regulation, social relationship and communication, and supporting individuals through understanding of diagnosis of ADHD or autism from a neuro-affirming approach that focuses on strengths.

Sabrina uses a variety of evidence based therapeutic approaches that relate to your specific needs, goals and presenting concerns. Her approaches include cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), mindfulness, acceptance commitment therapy (ACT), solution focused therapy, schema therapy, psychotherapy and attachment-based intervention.

As a mother of three children, Sabrina understands the challenges and juggling required for families. She is a firm believer in being a “good enough” parent and is passionate about providing families with a map of understanding the infant’s / child’s needs to strengthen family relationship. Sabrina is also passionate in working with neurodiverse families and supporting individuals to find their strengths and gaining more understanding of their challenges.

Sabrina uses a variety of evidence based therapeutic approaches that specifically relate to your needs, goals and presenting concerns. Some approaches including strength based therapy, cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), mindfulness, acceptance commitment therapy (ACT), solution focused therapy, brief psychodynamic psychotherapy, trauma-inform therapy and attachment/relational based intervention.
